As part of a comprehensive program to plan for the next 20 to 30 years, the City has prepared a set of draft guiding principles: the “ Spirit of Rancho Cucamonga ." These principles will be the foundation for the General Plan, establishing the vision and framework for future development and City services.

The Spirit of Rancho Cucamonga was written with the help of the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC), a committee comprised of residents and business owners. The GPAC used the existing General Plan, the Visioneering results, and stakeholder interviews summary to create the guiding principles.
